Jones decided to venture out on his own, opening his own telephone
service. Taking advantage of his knowledge of telephone systems,
Jones opened J&J Telephone Service in 1984. The business, now J&J
Telephone, Inc. has stayed in the family ever since and has continued
to serve West Alabama for more than 30 years.
